Title: New Setup
Post by: ricky on March 04, 2015, 05:31:21 PM
I think I may have gone overboard with my new setup.  Specially since it's set up in my bedroom lol.

Is that a Chinese food take-out menu on the bulletin board? Now that's PRO.  ;D

Nice set up Ricky! Think you have enough screens to look at? Hahaha *envy*

Currently, I'm running a 28", a 27" and a 24" monitor setup - running off of one video card - have yet to have a game actually play across multiple screens, however.

I need to upgrade my vid card, any suggestions on a new card to get? I think the one I have is atleast 3 years old, was top of the line then but not so much now.

I'm running Nvidia 660s and they seem to be fine.

That's what I bought at the time, (April 4, 2013) and it has held up extremely well. In fact, they haven't even seemed to drop in price since when *I* got it two years ago! ;)

I'd probably get something like that, if I were to go out today and buy something (and only because I *had* to.. as mentioned, have yet to find a game I can't play on basically maxed out settings, right now). But Tom's Hardware puts that in the "sixth" grouping (counting from the top) -

Which is about where I try to get new video cards - that way, they've come down in price some, but they will also last a while. :)

Feel like I have doubled my FPS on high end games. It was a bit of a pain to get into the case due to its size.
